This Week's Intimations

Sunday 12 February 2017

Prayer meeting tonight at 7.30pm in St. Mary’s Hall meeting room. All welcome. There is also a prayer meeting every Sunday in the Gillespie Centre at 10.15am, and one focusing on world issues at 9am on Thursdays at 3 South Back Rd.  Everyone is welcome to come and pray at any of these meetings. 

Afternoon service.  This will be held in St. Mary’s Hall next Sunday, Feb 12th at 2pm followed by tea and cake.  Although it is designed to be accessible for people with mobility problems who cannot easily make it to services in the church, everyone is welcome to come along. 

There will be a defibrillator training  for anyone who is interested in learning how to use the new defibrillator, on Friday 17th February at 4pm at the Gillespie Centre. Contact the minister if you would like to attend.

Elders please take note—a joint session conference will take place in  St Mary’s Hall, Biggar on the 18th of February 2017.  10am-4pm. Lunch provided. Rev John Young will be the speaker.

The next All Age Evening Worship in St. Mary’s Hall will be on Sunday 19th of February.  All welcome for food at 5pm followed by a worship service.

Messy Church - Saturday 25th February in St Mary's Hall at 11.00am - 1pm in St Mary's Hall.  Everyone welcome and lunch will be provided.

The next Taize service will be on Sunday 26th of February at 7.30pm in the church.  All welcome. 

The Annual World Day of Prayer Service will be held in St Mary's Hall on Friday March 3rd at 10am.  The service has been prepared by the women of The Philippines.  All very welcome.

There is a supervised crèche available for children under the age of 3 who are not yet able to go to Sunday Club. Parents are invited to take their children to the crèche in the vestry at the back of the church.  Alternatively activity bags can be collected from the church vestibule for use in church, and toys are also available in the North Transept for parents/ carers wishing  children to stay with them. 

Cleaning rota:  If you are able, please sign up to help clean the church in 2017. The new rota is available in the vestibule.  The more people who sign up the fewer times any one person will have to do it!!
