Biggar Parish Church

Biggar Parish Church
Today

As a Church of Scotland Parish Church in the Presbytery of Lanark, Biggar Kirk serves the people of Biggar and a large rural area within Clydesdale. Everyone, including any visitors to our town, are invited to come along and join in one, or all of our services and activities or events. You do not need to be a member of the church to join in.

As a Church, we believe that each person has particular gifts and abilities to use and share and has a part to play in the life and ministry of the church.

'The Spirit's presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all'
[1 Corinthians 12 : 7]

Kirk Session:
Some members of our congregation having been ordained as Elders, meet regularly with the minister as the Kirk Session. The role of the Kirk Session is to help lead the spiritual life of our church and its ministry.

St. Mary's Hall, North Back Road:
This is the main church hall which is used by many of the towns groups, clubs and organisations for meetings and activities, including the Sunday Club.

Gillespie Centre:
Located in the High Street, the Gillespie Centre is the focus for a variety of activities and events throughout the year and is an important venue for outreach to the community. It is owned by the Kirk, but run by the Gillespie Centre Association, many of whom are church members.

If you would be interested in booking either St. Mary's Hall or the Gillespie Centre for an event or meeting, please contact:
